Stuffed Paratha Recipes
Stuffed paratha is an Indian layered wheat-flour flatbread, stuffed with radish, carrots, potatoes, onion, paneer, and cauliflower or simple spices and herbs. The filling is sealed inside flour dough balls, rolled gently into a circle, and finished with roasting in clarified butter (ghee) and oil. All stuffed parathas are best served with flavorful raitas like mint raita, cucumber raita, and even plain yoghurt.
The main part of stuffed paratha recipes is kneading the right dough. I usually make it with simple wheat flour and water, and let it rest for at least 20 to 30 minutes. The oil or salt can also be added to improve the texture of the flour, but it’s an individual choice. Resting the dough is a necessary step that makes it smooth and pliable, helping the paratha become crisper and more flavorful.
