About Veg Sandwich:-
A veg sandwich is an easy and popular snack dish. Mix veggies cucumber, tomato, and onion spicing with red chili & chaat masala powder, a mix of fresh cream, and the mixture sandwich between bread slices and cook on a toaster known as a veg sandwich. It’s going to be a mouth-watering dish that no one says no to this.
I was in my 10th standard. The school’s principal announced that our extra skill classes should be run other than studies and the cooking class is one of them. So when we attended the cooking class our teacher taught us many recipes and a veg sandwich is one of them and my favorite one. I learned from her how to make a veg sandwich.
When I make it in my home every member likes it very much and my baby brother likes it the most. He always finds a reason to eat the sandwich and never says no to it. He always waits for Sunday so that he can taste his other favorite dishes with no hurry to go to school. But I think the sandwich is like the best friend of him.
This veg sandwich recipe is good enough for a busy morning, evening tea time, or a light dinner. This sandwich is a quick and easy dish to prepare.
There are two methods of preparing this veg sandwich recipe first is on skillet and second one is on toaster. I will show you both methods with stepwise photos below.

Ingredients:-
Bread: I use white bread for this recipe. But you can use brown bread and whole grain bread also.
Veggies: I use only cucumber, onion, and tomato for this recipe. But you can add more veggies like carrots, capsicum, etc. I don’t like much more of that.
Fresh cream: I use a small amount of simple cream for a better taste of the sandwich. If you like the taste of cream then you can add more.
Spices: I use only two spices here red chili powder and chaat masala powder.
Ghee: I use homemade ghee here. If you don’t have it, use good quality store-bought ghee.

How to make a veg sandwich:-
Preparation
1. Firstly start with taking all the veggies. Peel and chop them into thin and small pieces.

2. Then add 1/4 tsp red chili powder, 1/4 tsp chaat masala powder, and salt to taste.

3. Then add 1 tablespoon of fresh cream to it.

4. Mix all of these ingredients well.

5. After that take two slices of bread. Add some cream with a spoon on both sides of the bread.

6. Then, take some veggie mixture and keep it on one side of the bread. You can place a veggie mixture on both sides, but I only like it on one side.

7. When you place the veggie mixture close both the slices of bread.

Method 1( cook on skillet)
8. Heat a skillet on low to medium heat and spread some ghee on it.

9. Then place the sandwich on it. Press gently pour ghee on all around the edges of it and toast it for a few minutes.

10. After that flip it from the other side and pour ghee all around its edges.

11. After a few minutes flip it again. When the brown texture has come on the sandwich then remove it.

Method 2 (cook on toaster)
12. First, take a toaster( I use a stovetop toaster here). Pour ghee on all around the toaster.

13. Then place the sandwich on it. I have shown above how to place the veggie mixture.

14. After that close the toaster.

15. Place the toaster on the stovetop. Cook it a few minutes from one side on low to medium heat. Then flip it from the other side and cook few minutes. It takes 4 to 5 minutes to toast from both sides.

16. After that open the toaster and the sandwich is cooked. Then remove it.

Serving suggestion:-
- Serve the veg sandwich hot or warm with sauce or green chutney.
- Serve it with a cup of tea which is also the best option for Indians.
