This easy corn chaat recipe made with sweet corn that is easily available in all Indian grocery stores. Basically this is a monsoon food but it can be try in any season and they are delicious as always. In India they are grown in our own farms and they tastes good rather than market ones. But frozen sweet corns are also good to use.

Chaat is mouth-watering word itself for all Indians ever. There are various flavours. These include aloo tikki chaat, papdi chaat, kala chana chaat, and sweet corn chaat. They are easily found in every Indian stall. This one is very basic and easy to prepare. It doesn’t need any advance preparations.

When I tried it first time with myself at home it’s like wow. It’s the yummiest and easiest dish to try. Just boil or steam the sweet corn. Mix it with all the ingredients like tomato, onion, herbs, and spices. Then, this tangy and savory easy corn chaat is ready.

I didn’t add any other stuff here. I make it healthier as I prepare it for myself. So I will show the same way I prepare. You can add at the top with sev (fried gram flour vermicelli). Add more vegetables like cucumber, boiled potato and fruits like pomegranate pearls to make your chaat more flavorful.

Ingredients

  • Corn: I used fresh sweet corns here. You can also use both canned or frozen corns.
  • Tomato & Onion: They are base veggies for this chaat. But you add more like cucumber and boiled potatoes.
  • Green chili: I used green chili here. But if you prepare for kids then use red chili powder instead of green chilies.
  • Coriander leaves: They are best choice to add in chaat dishes.
  • Lemon juice: If you need tangy & sour flavor this the best for any chaat recipe.
  • Chaat Masala: It helps to give more aromatic flavor to your chaat.

How to make easy corn chaat recipe

1.Take two sweet corn kernels. You can use frozen corns also. I take fresh sweet corns here.

2. Now peel them off. Removes all the corn kernels with the knife or your hands.

3. After that add them to a couldron with 1/2 tsp salt and enough water that covers them completely on medium heat.

4. Boil them until they are soft tender. It takes 14-15 minutes on medium heat.

5. Now drain them to a colander. Let them cool down.

6. When they cool down take them to a large mixing bowl and sprinkle 1/4 tsp chaat masala.

7. Now add chopped onion, tomato, green chili, and coriander leaves.

8. Mix everything well.

9. Now squeeze a lemon on it.

10. Again tossed up all together and the easy corn chaat recipe is ready.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Sweet corn
  • 1 medium sized onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium sized tomato, finely chopped
  • 2 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp chaat masala
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • First take two sweet corns. Peel their skin and remove all the kernels with knife or your hands.
  • Now boil them with adding salt and enough water on medium heat until they are soft tender.
  • When they are soft drain them in colander and let them cool down.
  • Now add them to a mixing bowl and sprinkle chaat masala.
  • Add all the veggies & herbs tomato, onion, green chili, and coriander leaves.
  • Mix them well .
  • Now squeeze a lemon on it.
  • Now tossed up all together. Serve them in a serving bowl.

Notes

  • Use fresh corn for this chaat recipe for a better taste. But if you don’t have fresh corns frozen corns also work well.
  • Serve this chaat immediately after preparation. It is best to eat fresh.
