About Boondi Raita
Boondi raita is a side dish prepared with yogurt, boondi, spices, and herbs. This raita is very easy to prepare. There are many raita varieties in India like aloo raita, kheera raita, and pudina raita but this boondi ka raita is common to prepare in every home. It gives you another vibe than other raita.
In this raita, boondi is the main ingredient here. Boondi is a fried small round crunchy tiny balls prepared from gram flour. They can be prepared at home easily. But if you want store-bought they are easily available in all grocery shops.

There are two different ways to add boondi in raita. Some people like to add boondi directly to the raita because they want crunchy taste but I don’t like much of that. I always like to soak boondi in warm water for about 10 minutes then add to the raita. Soaking boondi in water makes them softer and removes excess oil from them.
This boondi raita dish is delicious and adds more flavors to your meal. In summer they are the best raita variety to eat daily. It can be served with pulao, dal rice, paratha, roti, or with any dish you want.
Ingredients:-
Yogurt- I used homemade yogurt here. But you can use store-bought yogurt too. Make sure that the curd is fresh, not sour. If you use sour yogurt then the raita will gives you sour taste.
Boondi- I used store-bought boondi here. You can use salted or plain boondi which you like.
Spices- I used cumin powder, red chili powder, chaat masala, and black pepper powder. Make sure to add fresh spices to add aromatic flavor to your raita. You can add or skip spices according to your taste preferences.
Herbs- Coriander leaves and mint leaves can be add to this raita. I don’t like to add them because my siblings don’t like that. But if you like then you can easily add for more flavors to your raita.
