Wheat Halwa Recipe - Soft, Rich & Perfect Sweet Dish

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup wheat flour
  • 3-4 tbsp ghee
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp chooped nuts
  • 1 cup water

Instructions
 

  • Heat the water and sugar in a pan on medium heat.
  • Boil it till a roaring boil comes, and the sugar dissolves properly.
  • Then turn off the flame and keep the pan covered so that the mixture remains hot.
  • Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed kadai.
  • Now add whole wheat flour to it and roast on medium heat.
  • Roast by stirring till it turns golden.
  • When it gets golden, add the sugar mixture to it.
  • Stirring it continuously so that the lumps could not form.
  • Keep the flame medium and cook until the flour is mixed with the mixture.
  • When the ghee releases the edges of the kadai, it's time to add nuts.
  • Add chopped nuts and mix well.
  • Now turn off the flame and serve halwa immediately, garnished with nuts.

Notes

  • Roast the wheat flour on low to medium heat for even cooking.
  • Use coarse texture flour for better taste.
  • Stir continuously to avoid lumps in the halwa.
  • Make sure the sugar mixture is warm when mixing it.
  • Cook the halwa until it leaves the sides of the pan or kadai.
