Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • water for kneading
  • ½ cup grated carrot
  • ½ cup grated cauliflower
  • ½ cup grated capsicum
  • 1 chopped green chili
  • 1 tbsp ghee/oil
  • ¼ tsp cumin seeds
  • ¼ tsp garam masala powder
  • salt to taste

Instructions

Preparing dough

  • First, take one cup of wheat flour in a bowl or large plate.
  • Add salt and some water to it. Knead it into smooth and soft dough by adding water little by little.
  • When the dough is done, cover it with a moist cloth. Set it aside until we make the stuffing.

Prepare Stuffing

  • Take all the veggies. Rinse them in water and peel them off. Then grate them with a grater like this:
  • After that, take a pan and heat 1/2 tbsp ghee with 1/4 tsp cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
  • Then add all the grated veggies to a pan.
  • Add chopped green chili,1/4 tsp chaat masala powder, and salt to taste.
  • Mix all of these ingredients well. Saute them for 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame.
  • When the veggies are partially done, turn off the flame. Set them aside to cool.

Making veg roll

  • Make 4 to 5 equal round balls from the dough.
  • Then, dust some flour on the dough ball or rolling area.
  • Flatten the dough ball with your hands.
  • Roll it with the help of a rolling pin, and make a round chapati.
  • Heat a griddle on medium flame. When the griddle is hot enough, place the chapati in it.
  • After a few seconds, turn the chapati and spread some ghee on it.
  • Then flip it from the other side and add ghee on the other side, too. Press gently with a spatula and wait until the little brown bubbles form.
  • When the chapati has brown bubbles, then remove it.
  • Then, transfer the chapati to a plate.
  • Smear some sauce all around the roti to its edges with a spoon.
  • Then add some filling in the middle of the chapati.
  • Fold the sides of the chapati.
  • Then roll the chapati tightly so that it covers the stuffing properly. Roll the halve in a butter paper or foil paper.
