  • 2 cups roasted black chickpeas
  • 4-5 tbsp ghee
  • ½ cup jaggery

Instructions

  • Take all the roasted chickpeas into a grinder.
  • Blend to make a smooth flour.
  • Heat 3 tbsp ghee in a kadai on medium heat.
  • Now add flour to the heated ghee and roast it till golden.
  • When it's golden, turn off the flame and transfer it to a mixing bowl.
  • Now add jaggery and 2 tbsp of ghee.
  • Mix all the ingredients well so that the ghee and jaggery combine well with the flour.
  • Now, grease your palms with ghee and shape the mixture into ladoos.
  • Serve ladoo as a snack with a cup of warm milk.

Notes

  • Use fresh homemade sattu for the best texture and flavour.
  • Roast the sattu on low to medium heat to avoid browning.
  • If the mixture feels too dry, add a little more ghee.
  • The mixture should be slightly warm to make shaping easier.
  • Avoid adding too much ghee as it makes the ladoos greasy.
  • The sattu should be smooth in texture, which helps in soft ladoos.
