Boil the sweet potatoes, cut them into squares, and add salt or pomegranate seeds. Just toss everything well, and the chaat is ready.
My recipe includes only four ingredients: sweet potato, salt, lemon juice, and pomegranate, especially for fasts like Mahashivratri and Navratri. I use pomegranate pearls to make it more nutritious. Among all the fruits, why did I choose this? Just because it pairs well in this. You add more fruits, papaya, apple, and orange. For a crunchier chaat taste, add roasted peanuts and lotus seeds.

How to make sweet potato chaat recipe
1.Take 3-4 medium-sized sweet potatoes. Rinse them in clean water. Make sure the soil can be removed properly. After that, add them to a pressure cooker with water that covers the sweet potato only. Not more than this. Cook them 3-4 whistles, then release the pressure naturally.
When they are boiled, remove them with a spoon to a platter and let them cool.

2. Peel them and dice them in a bowl.

3. Add 1/4 tsp lemon juice to it. Here you can add spices, like cumin powder and chaat masala, if making for non-fasting days.

4. Add 1/2 tsp rock salt (sendha namak) and 1/2 cup pomegranate pearls to it. Add chutney and yoghurt here if you want.

5. Mix gently and do a taste test. If required, add more spices and lemon juice.
