Winter Special Gajar Halwa Recipe Traditional Indian Dessert

Enjoy this traditional and delicious gajar halwa which is the perfect dessert at winter. This made with red carrots, slow-cooked milk, sugar, ghee, and dry fruits. 

1 kg grated red carrots 2 kg full cream milk 500 gm Sugar 4 tbsp Ghee 1 tsp cardamom powder 3/4 cup  chopped dry fruits

INGREDIENTS

Wash and peel the carrots then grate them finely in smooth texture.

STEP 1

Cook them with milk in a kadai on high flame until they are soft and milk reduces properly.

STEP 2

Mix the sugar well and cook until the halwa thickens and darken in color.

STEP 3

Add ghee and cardamom powder. Mix well and cook until aromatic.

STEP 4

Now garnish with chopped dry fruits almonds, cashews, pichatio, and raisins for adding more flavour.

STEP 5

Serve it hot plain or with a cup of masala tea.
