Traditional Peanut Chikki Recipe For Makar Sankranti

Peanut Chikki is a traditional winter sweet prepare with roasted peanuts and jaggery. Simple, crunchy, and perfect for Makar Sankranti celebrations.

1 cup peanuts (raw, with skin) 1/2 cup jaggery 2-4 tbsp water 1/2 tsp ghee (for greasing)

INGREDIENTS

Remove skins of all peanuts and roast them till crunchy and aromatic.

STEP 1

Now melt jaggery in a pan with water. Cook till thick consistency and check by a drop in cold water form hard ball.

STEP 2

Mix roasted peanuts into jaggery syrup and transfer into greased plate or butter paper. Spread and flatten it.

STEP 3

When its warm cut it into square pieces. Enjoy it with hot chai. Store it an air-tight container.
