Quick & Fluffy Poha Recipe for a Healthy Breakfast

Poha also known as flattened rice prepare with onion, tomato, spices, and herbs. It's an Indian popular breakfast. The light, nutritious, and quick poha recipe is good for busy mornings.

1 cup flattened rice 1/4 cup peanuts 1/4 cup raisins 1 onion (chopped) 1 tomato (chopped) 2 green chili (chopped) 1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped) 1 lemon 1 tbsp oil 1/2 tsp mustard seeds 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp salt

INGREDIENTS

Wash the poha in a strainer in running water and keep them aside.

STEP 1

Dry roast the peanuts in a pan until crunchy and have little brown shade.

STEP 2

In the same pan heat oil with mustard seeds. Let them sizzle.

STEP 3

Saute the chopped onion till soft and golden color.

STEP 4

Add tomato with spices: turmeric powder and salt. Saute them until the tomatoes are mushy.

STEP 5

Mix washed rice flakes, peanuts, raisins, green chili, and coriander leaves. Cook all them for 2-3 minutes.

Turn off the flame and squeeze lemon juice on it. Serve it hot with the cup of hot tea.
